Monday Morning Recipe

Charles Caleb Colton said that "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Only for the one being imitated. Usually, the person being imitated, is imitated because of their originality. Which gets to my point. There is nothing noteworthy, thought provoking, envy inducing, or at the heart of it...attractive, about attempting to be & do anything that is not authentically you. But you already know this {remember last Monday we established that we are already smart}. In a culture where we are sold replication as a recipe for happiness, we often times forget it's not. As replication is the main ingredient for discontent & insecurity. So today let this remind you, that doing what everyone else is doing is neither necessary nor confidence inducing. As Oscar Wilde said in one of my faVorite quotes: "Be yourself, everyone else is taken."
