Apple Tartine

The eternal quest, like the sword of Excalibur or the quest for the Holy Grail {my love for mythology runneth over}, is to find as many good breakfasts to eat that take little time to prepare on a busy week day morning. I have found one. Or rather the French found one, & probably centuries ago but I will ignore that part here in this post. You get it all with a Apple Tartine: protein, fruit, fat, carbs, & yummy. Make sure to pick a sweet apple for this recipe. That's it. Try it!

Apple Tartine
(inspired by Real Simple)

1 Demi-Baguette, sliced lengthwise and cut into 4 pieces (total)
Salmon Spread Cream Cheese or Butter
1/2 Apple, cored and sliced
Havarti Cheese

Preheat broiler.

On each piece of bread spread on the salmon spread in your desired amount. Place about 4 slices of apple on each of the pieces of bread. On top of the apples, add the cheese on top in your desired amount.

Place the pieces of baguette into the broiler for 2-3 minutes until the cheese starts to become golden brown. Remove from the broiler. Serve. Eat. Enjoy! Praise FaVorable Food!!! ; )
