Spicy Shrimp and Broccoli Pasta {as explained via a script}

This is how this dish came to be. The dialogue may be familiar to you.

{Scene}

Grocery Store.
Husband and wife walking aimlessly through the produce section of Whole Foods after having had 2 samples each of, chips and assorted salsas, grapes, & cava oranges.

{Dialogue}

Hubby: What do want for dinner?

Wife: I don't know what do you want for dinner?

Hubby: I don't know.

Wife: We have some shrimp in the freezer for the grits in the morning, we could use that.

Hubby: Okay.

Wife: {Obviously feeling she has to come up with the menu tonight} We could have the shrimp with pasta, broccoli and some cheese.

Hubby: Sounds good. What kind of broccoli? Fresh or frozen?

Wife: I think it would be cheaper frozen.

Hubby: {Smile comes across his face at knowledge he will be saving money}

{Scene}

Hubby and wife slowly sauntering to the pasta, rice, aisle.

{Dialogue}

Hubby: {As he reaches for spaghetti} What kind of pasta do you want?

Wife: {Looking at him with some annoyance due to his penchant to choose the same kind of pasta each time} Something different. How about this wheat penne pasta. {Not a question, but a comment}

Hubby: {Looks at wife with slight disappointment and feign enthusiasm}. Okay.

{Scene}

Hubby and wife easily go to freezer aisle and pick out broccoli. Then move more swiftly to cheese as Hubby knows there will be copious samples in this section of store.

{Dialogue}

Hubby: {After hitting 3 samples, looks at wife while she scours the cheese section and per pound price} Getting parmesan?  {Saying gleefully}

Wife: {In consternation she looks at Hubby} No.

Hubby: {Moving to hit the cheese samples again. He is real lover of cheese}

Wife: {Eventually settles on package at $13 per pound at the right price. Satisfaction comes over her face}

{Scene}

Hubby and wife walk in satisfaction to check out only after 20 minutes in store.

{Scene}

Wife talks to readers/observers.

Wife: Don't tell me we are the only ones with this dialogue at the grocery store? We can't be! Leave a comment and tell me your hubby/wife dialogue at dinner time. All scripts will be read!
